HR Manager

We have an opportunity for a HR Manager (M/F) to join our team operating from Corbetta in Milan, Italy.

What is the Role?

Reporting to the Business Director, you are in charge of the development of new health ingredients. To achieve your objectives, focused on developing our product ranges in line with the customers’ expectations, you will manage a team of two people.

Reporting to the HR Director and in connection with the Italian Business Unit Director, you will provide day-to-day operational HR support for employees and line managers.

Your missions will be:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Identify recruitment partners or channels and negotiate appropriate, country-specific terms and conditions which comply with NBA requirements.
  • Support with set-up and delivery of appropriate selection processes including screening, interviewing and testing, ensuring a great candidate experience.
  • Create employment offers and contracts and conduct any requisite pre-employment checks
  • Support with the effective onboarding, set-up and transition of new starters

Reward

  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing the relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
  • Assist with the documentation of employee compensation and benefits
  • Recommendations for inflation-based pay increases and administration of annual pay review process, where applicable
  • Administration of local incentive programmes and awards
  • Ensure compliance with local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Manage reward queries and local benchmarking

Employee Relations & Admin

  • Provide operational advice and support on issues relating to grievance, disciplinary or capability
  • Assist with or develop HR processes, policies and systems, in line with local employment legislation
  • Coordinate management-employee communications and play a key role in the roll-out of the bi-annual employee engagement survey, including follow-up and action planning.
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
  • Compile and maintain paper, digital and electronic employee records
  • Produce and submit HR reports

Performance Management & Development

  • Administration of annual performance management cycle
  • Provide support on requests for learning & development, utilising ABFI Head Office as appropriate
  • Ensure mandatory and compliance learning is completed by employees as required
  • Develop and execute a plan to define, prioritize, and deliver current and future talent requirements, including internal talent development and external talent acquisition, to ensure available talent to achieve of business goals.
  • Coach all employees to ensure that the appropriate level of focus is placed on assessing talent capabilities and taking action to develop talent both for improved performance and future talent pipeline readiness
  • Support site leadership in effectively deploying performance management and rewards processes/practices to drive required levels of employee accountability for desired performance results and ensure retention of top performers.

What are we looking for? 

The succesful candidate should have:

  • Degree in HR or equivalent (or certifying experience)
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in the role
  • Working knowledge of Italian labour laws
  • Coaching & People Development skills
  • Business Fluent in Italian and English both written and verbal are an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High level of discretion with confidential information
